About me
... was born to create art...
And step by step to find my self in this world

My professional drawing studies started in 2005, much earlier than I have began to paint. I acquired academic drawing method invented by Pavel Chistyakov in Ludmila Perets's studio. The tempo of the learning process was very intensive – in nine month time we made a way from the very basics of drawing up to head anatomy and gypsum head portraying. P. Chistyakov's method allows to enrich experience gained in the studio by sketching, copying great artist's works, and making individual long-term drawings. In total, I attended L. Perets's drawing studio for four years.

I started painting with oil colours in 2007, when I joined Alexander Pakhomov's private painting studio. In 2008 I entered the Art Academy of Latvia. Therefore, for one year I was engaged in parallel working in A. Pakhomov's studio and painting figures and nudes in the academy. While academy professors expected us to free ourselves, acquire new materials, and develop our fantasy; I continued mastering the skills, which I gained in the studio, because the professors did not really demonstrate students how to improve academic painting approach.

"I've took a passion to the artists of 19th and 20th centuries and fell in love with it..."
Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists' ability to show the true emotions and passion.
Influenced by A. Pakhomov studio's atmosphere I've took a passion to the art of 19th and 20th centuries and fell in love with it. Currently my love to post-impressionist artists' paintings became especially strong. I am often inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, Albert Marquet, and Latvian artist Janis Valters. Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists' ability to show the weather conditions and the state of the nature with one brush stroke.

I will say about myself as I'm a very versatile artist. Basic classical knowledge and skills in drawing and painting allow me to create in very different kinds of styles and themes. And that's why I have so many different artworks in my portfolio. As you can see, I have some of a classic landscape reminiscent of Levitan. And little later I was carried away from reality to fantasy and minimalism.
I would characterize myself as an artist-researcher. I am interested in trying something new and finding new facets in art for myself. Because of this, I have no udin style. I often surprise my viewers with something unexpected! I look into the future with greater confidence and passion, think over new creative plans, and expect fulfilling them!

Overall, I have been doing art for over 15 years. And I can't imagine myself in another area. Drawing, graphics and painting give me great pleasure! And I really want to continue to grow as an artist, as a master, as well as commercially.

My artworks now are in private collections in Latvia, Russia, England, Greece, China and the USA.
